Can I export my Tesla vehicle outside the US, Canada or Europe? If you export your Tesla vehicle outside of the market for which it was built, we will be unable to service your vehicle until it has been brought back to its home market. There is also a possibility that an exported Tesla vehicle will not be compatible with the electrical and charging infrastructure in countries for which it was not designed and homologated. For these reasons, we strongly recommend that you purchase a Tesla vehicle in the market where you plan to drive it. Tesla vehicles are currently sold and serviced in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia Pacific. Back to Top

Consumers may have chosen more affordable options because they simply didn't think the cost of the Tesla models was appropriate. Lastly, production and supply chain challenges faced by the company could have affected its production of vehicles, leading to a shortfall in supply and finally creating this lack of popularity we're talking about.

Elon Musk's company has just lived a mixed year. Tesla broke records in terms of production and deliveries, with a total of 1.31 million deliveries and 1.37 million units produced. But its Model X and Model S saw a lack of popularity among consumers. In the fourth quarter of 2022, Tesla reported deliveries of its Model X and S as 17,147. For the full year of 2022, the company mentioned only 66,705 deliveries for both models. More than 1.2 million 2022 Tesla Model 3 and 2022 Tesla Model Y deliveries were reported instead. A large difference, right?

It's obvious that this reason may have also played an important role in dampening consumer demand for Tesla's luxury Model X and Model S. Furthermore, even traditional automakers have started to make inroads among 2022 luxury cars with new models of their own. This made it harder for Tesla to maintain its authority in the luxury EV market, and the Model X and Model S have certainly been the first two victims.

So many times people decided to go for another EV, for cheaper alternatives, or maybe Tesla's used models, and we can imagine that many of them went for the more convenient choice. This trend was so clear in the sales numbers of the Tesla Model X and Model S.

In 2022, Tesla found itself facing a new set of challenges in the production of its Model X and Model S. Despite the initial hype surrounding these two models, they ultimately failed to gain popularity among consumers.

While neither of these two Tesla models saw arguably overdue overhauls to their design in 2020, the new year said otherwise. In late 2020, Tesla had announced a complete production shutdown for both models through the holidays and into the new year. This move has led toward speculation about a possible refresh of both EVs. Finally, Tesla came forth and confirmed a refresh was in fact coming for both veteran models.

There are a few things to look out for when checking out the car in person. The falcon wing doors tend to shift a tiny bit when the car is driven so there are key areas to look out for where the door has rubbed away the paint and may expose bare metal. Unfortunately, so many Teslas have panel gaps, condensation in tail lights, misaligned chrome trim and other minor issues that they are usually considered "within spec" at the Tesla Service Center and aren't out of the ordinary enough to be negotiation points on price.

The Tesla Model S now starts at $89,990, according to the company's website, down around 5% from where they were priced previously. The Model X, meanwhile, starts at $99,990, which marks a 9% reduction.

The pace and frequency of Tesla's price adjustments goes beyond what established automakers have attempted in the industry, where the base price of a vehicle in inventory is still referred to as a "sticker price."

The Tesla Model S is a four-door luxury sedan with some serious power under the hood. There are two versions of the Model S: the standard all-wheel-drive package and the Plaid. Regardless of model, its battery range is roughly 400 miles. However, the horsepower of the Model S jumps from 670 to 1,020 if you upgrade to the Plaid.

Recent changes (as of 3/31/2023): The ESA used to come with two tiers/options, but now the ESA has been standardized into one option with pricing differences between models. Tesla also removed the grace period that allowed owners to purchase an ESA within 30 days / 1000 miles of the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty period, so if that date has passed for your Tesla, you are out of luck. The good news is that the Model 3 and Model Y are now eligible for this extended warranty coverage!

Starting at delivery or the first day of service, the New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers 4 years or 50,000 miles for the terms of the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty, 4 years or 60,000 miles for the terms of the Safety Restraint System Limited Warranty, and 8 years or 100,000-150,000 miles (depending on the vehicle model) for the Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty.

Yes! If your Model 3 or Model Y is still within its Basic Vehicle Warranty period, you can buy an Extended Service Agreement (2 years / 25,000 miles) for your Tesla right from the app. Select your Vehicle -> Upgrades -> Extended Service Agreement -> Add to see the price for your model.

Depending on the repair, it certainly can be. For example, a full battery replacement, including parts and labor, can cost somewhere in the $10,000-$20,000 range. However, the battery is the heart of the EV and is the most expensive part. Other repairs tend to run lower, but in general repair costs on an out of warranty Tesla can be on the pricey side.

The Tesla Model X is an electric SUV that is known as the SUV with the fastest acceleration to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds. It is the larger version of Model S, forty percent of the parts correspond to that model. A striking feature of Model X is the "Falcon Wing", the rear doors open upwards. This type is available in a version for 5, 6 or 7 people. The power of the engine is 193 kW. You can find a suitable Tesla Model X charging cable in the Cable Soolutions Shop.

She Says: I like the seats very much, both in the front and the second-row pedestal seats. They can be adjusted to where they are the most comfortable. The lumbar support is the frosting on the cake. On a longer drive, the lumbar support can be changed to your sitting position to increase your comfort. When the outside temperature is cool, the instant heat of the seat heater is wonderful. Add the fact that you can start the warming process from your cell phone app prior to getting in the car.

The Model X can get up to speed quicker, with a 0-to-60 time of 3.8 seconds in the base model or 2.5 seconds in the Plaid model. The Model Y can hit 60 mph in 4.8 seconds in the base model, or 3.5 seconds in the Performance model.

Perhaps the biggest difference between the two cars is their price. The Model X starts at around $127,470 and can get as high as $139,990 in the performance model. The Model Y is much more affordable, starting at just $65,990 and maxing out at around $69,990 for the Performance model.

The Model X is an extremely sophisticated vehicle. Although Tesla is leading the EV market with its current model lineup, Tesla provides no real solution for failed tires. Here at Modern Spare, we have designed a spare tire kit from the ground up to be just right for your Model X.

And something worth noting, modern vehicles have very specific lift points for proper jack placement. More importantly, your vehicle requires a specific jack type to properly lift the car. In other words, the type of head on the jack is critically important for proper use, whereas a typical generic or universal jack will simply not do. We design our scissor jacks in-house and specific to each make and model we support.
